Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational Christian church which began in 1965 in Costa Mesa, California. Calvary Chapel's pastor, Chuck Smith became a leading figure in what has become known as the Jesus Movement.
The Word For Today is a non-profit organization, and an outreach of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. Our desire is to see the body of Christ grow in their knowledge of God through the study of His Word.
Calvary Chapel Bible College was founded in 1975 as a short, intensive study program. It was developed as a part of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa's overall vision to equip the people of God for His service.
Calvary Chapel Conference Center was built in the early 1960's. On August 17, 2001 the doors of the newly renovated Conference Center in Twin Peaks were reopened. A sign at the Front office in the lobby read: "Welcome to Calvary Chapel Conference center Twin Peaks, with God all things are possible."
At Calvary Chapel Bible College, men and women gather together in our Costa Mesa extension campus to study the Word of God with Calvary Chapel Pastors.
A place that young people can come from all walks of life, regardless of finincial ability, social standing or place of residence. That they might come to experience the beauty of God’s creation, be taught His Word and participate in a wide variety of recreational activities that will challange and excite every camper.
Calvary Distribution is a ministry of Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa whose purpose is to provide edifying materials that will build up and encourage the church body. Calvary Distribution is available for wholesale accounts only.
Men's Ministry is to help men mature spiritually by grounding them in God's Word, by providing opportunities to build relationships with other men, and by offering ways in which they may serve the Lord. In this way they can be examples of His love to their family, friends, co-workers and to the community.
Joyful Life is an outreach of the Women's Ministry of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Kay Smith, the wife of Pastor Chuck, has led the Joyful Life Women's Bible Study for over 20 years. Cheryl Brodersen, Kay's daughter, now assists her mother in sharing each week.
